Burning Sky Media started with three media professionals totaling more than 70 years of experience who decided to partner and create a full service video production company. We have the talent and expertise to effectively elevate your company, your product, your story and your message.

Todd Johnson President and Executive Producer
After working for several television stations across the Midwest, Todd came to the Pacific Northwest in 1994. He spent the next 13 years broadcasting the weather as a meteorologist for KOMO-TV in Seattle. Todd ventured out on his own and formed a communications consulting company. He has taught and coached presentation skills to business professionals in countries all over the world, including China, Australia, Hong Kong and Canada.
With extensive experience both in front of and behind the camera, Todd brings a critical production component to Burning Sky Media as both Executive Producer and President of the company. His tremendous ability to take a story and be able to convey its entirety in less than three minutes is a strength that few production companies possess.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Todd has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri, as well as an additional bachelor’s degree in geosciences from Mississippi State University. He and his family currently reside in Mill Creek, Washington. |

Tim Griffis Chief Videographer
Tim Griffis leads the professional videography team at Burning Sky Media. Tim brings 25 years of experience in television journalism and production to Burning Sky Media, including 13 years of shooting local news and feature stories for Seattle affiliates KOMO-TV and KING-TV.
Tim has been honored with dozens of awards for his ability to tell a story through the eyes of a video camera. Tim is the winner of 17 regional Emmy Awards, 3 Edward R. Murrow Awards and numerous National Press Photographer Association Awards.
Tim is a frequent speaker at seminars and workshops to teach other video professionals how to hone their craft and strive for excellence. Tim has traveled to more than three dozen cities across the United States, sharing his knowledge and inspiring colleagues.
Tim is the Creative Director of Northwest Video Edge, a company that specializes in using video to help groups connect with their audiences. Tim’s clients include Good Morning America, ESPN, The NFL Network, Microsoft, World Vision and Safeco Insurance.

Cathy Faulkner Voice Talent
A Pacific Northwest native, Cathy Faulkner has been in the voiceover business for just shy of 20 years. She does a wide variety of projects ranging from nationally syndicated music specials, commercials, web pieces to phone systems, corporate presentations and e-learning tutorials. Cathy’s specialty, without a doubt, is her narrative work. Warm, friendly, professional, confident and inviting are words clients use to describe her vocal style. Let her add that special touch to bring your piece to life. Cathy works from her home studio in the San Juan Islands where she lives with her husband Nelson and son Trevor. |

Craig Bell Chief Executive Officer
Most recently as the Director of Business Development for 425 Magazine and consulting under his own company, Craig brings over 25 years of sales and media marketing experience to Burning Sky Media. Beginning with KISW FM in the 80s, he has worked primarily in the Pacific Northwest and California, both northern and southern. As Burning Sky’s Chief Executive Officer, Craig focuses on overall business operations and development, as well as creating partnerships at the strategic level.
A graduate of Western Washington University with a degree in marketing, Craig resides in Bellevue, Washington, with his wife of 18 years. |

Mary Pratt Kunzweiler Director of Business Operations
A Pacific Northwest native, Mary brings 20 years of financial and business expertise to her role as Director of Business Operations. A graduate of Marquette University with a degree in Economics and Finance, Mary is extremely active in the business and social community.
In addition to lending her skills to making Burning Sky Media’s operations run smoothly, Mary wears the additional hat of, as she loves to call it, Social Media Maven. She has spent the last couple of years becoming an expert in the use and dynamics of Social Media, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, BizNik and more. Her skills in this arena allow Burning Sky Media to be on the front edge of making certain that our clients’ needs are met in this fast paced and ever changing environment.
Mary resides in Kirkland and, if you ask her, will tell you about her twin sons and a couple of cats that have taken up residence.

Chris Eastwood Vice President Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Chris brings more than 16 years of experience in product and service sales to Burning Sky Media.
His rich background includes designing and executing corporate incentive programs for Fortune 500 companies with Maritz Travel Company. Most recently, Chris worked in sales and sales management for Time, Inc., the world's leading media company.
Chris earned his bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from San Diego State University. He resides in Mill Creek, Washington with his wife and three kids. In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling and participating in triathlons. |

Dave Heywood Chief Technology Officer
Dave began working with the internet and web design in 1994 in Southern California as a consultant and designer. With over 70 different websites large and small to his credit, he brings this expertise to Burning Sky Media as Chief Technology Officer and principal.
Website design, backend database support, IP network development and troubleshooting are just some of the skills we are fortunate to have under our roof.
Dave is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton in Engineering, and prior to moving to Seattle was also the Vice President and General Manager of a major international independent testing organization and laboratory. He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2006 and resides in Issaquah. |
